The Advanced Master Class

The Advanced Master Class is for students who already have some experience with lead came and are ready to take their practice to a Master Level. If you’re thinking about selling your work, already have a stained glass business, or simply thrive on a good challenge, this class will not only help you achieve new standards of refinement in your craftsmanship, but save time and money as well.

Advanced students will need some time to prepare before their workshop. Students are tasked to arrive with an approved pattern pre-printed and their glass pre-cut.

With 1-on-1 instruction and hands-on learning, you will learn to select different leads for different purposes, repair border and interior pieces, plate glass in the Tiffany style, basics of reinforcement and installation, tips for fielding and accepting commissions, and more. This course can be easily tailored to a student's specific goals and needs. Students will graduate with a certificate of completion of the course and a 18 inch x 18 inch zinc framed window panel ready for hanging. Students will also have access to an online video version of the Master class to refer back to.

Wabi-Sabi Workshops will provide:

  • Glazing Compound

  • Reinforcement (if needed)

  • Lead

  • A zinc Frame

  • Water and Snacks

  • Video Master class

Please bring the following to class:

  • Your pre-cut glass

  • Extra Glass

  • Glass Cutter

  • Lead Dykes/Nippers

  • Grozing Pliers

  • Your pattern to build upon

  • Work Apron

  • Soldering Iron

Don’t forget to wear closed-toe comfortable shoes.

After you have reserved your class:

  • You will be emailed Welcome Letter, course outline, and a link to select your pattern

  • Choose 1 pattern from our free downloads. Have 2 copies printed at your local print shop

  • Class begins at 9:00 am and breaks for lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (subject to change). Class will end at 6:00 pm each day
